Creating an Experience

Gingerleaf Floral is a floral design studio based in Oakland, California. We specialize in weddings, celebrations and corporate accounts and events. At the heart of Gingerleaf Floral is owner and lead designer Ellen Kim, who brings her discerning eye to floral design after a 10-year career in graphic design. Her use of color and emphasis on form and composition reflect a rich background in design, which include degrees in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley and Graphics and Packaging at the prestigious Art Center College of Design, as well as extensive training in Floristry at City College of San Francisco.

Gingerleaf Floral approaches florals as a study in form, texture, color and fragrance. Our medium is flowers and botanicals, and the end result is artful design that evokes a mood and creates an indelible experience. The designs may be modern and sculptural or lush and organic, but we always start with the vision our clients have and the experience they want to capture for themselves and their guests.
